The weekend’s Vets race took place on the Beehive circuit, although with a new Race HQ at Jack White’s and change of location for the finish line.
The Vets have been experiencing low numbers in recent weeks, particularly in the Black and Green groups. A change of format saw the Blacks giving the Orange group a 3 minute head start, and a similar arrangement as Whites chased down the Green group.
In the Black/Orange combined groups Mark Mearns took 4th and Ian O’Hara 8th (Blacks), and Orange saw Graham Thomas 2nd, me 7th, and Paul Rybak 8th.
Peter McDonagh was 7th White rider across the line.
Well done to all on what was a hot day.
