We had 6 out on this mornings spin.
Welcome to first timer Niall, Junior on his 3rd spin and Rob returning after a few months away. Sheamus a stalwart on the Starter spin and coming back to full bike fitness nicely. On a gorgeous warm Sunday with a lovely breeze that warmed you and cooled you at the same time perfect for cycling.
Todays route took us up Laraghcon and the back road towards Leixlip taking the right turn towards Dunboyne , Up to the crossroads turn left heading for the Dunboyne to Maynooth road and turning to Kilcloon, on to Kilcock and the back roads passing the train station in Kilcock back to Maynooth for a well earned coffe in Sasta Pastry in the Mill Centre.
After 35km everyone feeling good, we pushed the spin out to 50km with the average speed at a respectable 21.8kph. Thanks to Liam in co leading the spin.
